Hello Everybody!
I hope you are are enjoying yourself marvelously today! And if not, see if you can find a spot of blue sky out your window or above your head when you go out. I just heard mention on the radio that a background color of blue stimulates the creativity function in the brain. Thank you researchers it has been a long time since I was a kid! So try lifting your head long enough to find a stimulating thought for the day.
Well this led me to the notion that I would like to share with you today! This is a practice in being present. We all get the idea that being present in the now moment is the way to go these days. And presumably we have all done our work and let go of any elements of control outside of ourselves which unburdens us and allows us to just focusing on ourselves as selfish as this may sound.... real simple right?
Well to be perfectly honest I haven't found this to be simple. It isn't as easy as it sounds. I could use a little help. A little reminder for I often find myself pressing the rewind button in my life and viewing yesterday again, or editing my comments of a previous conversation or virtually hugging someone when in fact when I wish I actually had.
Here is my now thought. Set aside today or your next free time - expected or unexpected and try this. Try to give yourself what you want in every moment and see what happens. Imagine the sky is the limit. Get up and belt out a Pink song to feel what it is like to shout nanana na nanana nah - I want to start a fight. Or see what happens when you plant an orchid in the dead of winter in Maine. Let not one should thought, chore or life episode enter your mind to be worked on, to be resolved or problem to be solved. Free space, no media, no external input just you in your skin within your body creating your life. That is it! Start simple. If you can do this for an hour soon you'll be able to do it for two, then a day. then a weekend.... then who knows..... take it away folks!!!!

ok so i tried this (being here now) and embarrassed myself! but then it turned out to be ok...because i said i was embarrassed, and then the person i embarrassed myself to expressed their feelings about my feelings which was still embarrassing but its ok, i'm still breathing. I'm breathing and embarrassed. I am here now. Hey, this is kinda cool.
